From the Sheriff's Department
On February 8, 2012 investigators with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department arrested Christopher Scott Barth on an indictment out of Lawrence County for Aggravated Burglary, Theft over $1,000 and Vandalism. The charges stem from an investigation began back in September of 2011. A West Point Road resident’s home was burglarized and several firearms were stolen. Evidence gathered during the course of the investigation linked Barth to the crime and investigators anticipate more arrests in connection with this crime. While serving the warrants at Barth’s home at 4000 Pulaski Highway, Lawrenceburg, TN investigators noticed a strong odor of burning marijuana inside the home of Barth. As a result a small amount of marijuana was found and Barth was charged with additional charges of simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Christopher Scott Barth was already on probation through the State of Tennessee and that probation was violated and he is being held without bond.
